Vision

GPL will develop sub 50MWe recycled wood to energy power plants across the UK. The project locations will take into account several considerations, access to electricity grid, site availability, fuel availability and local heat demand.
Gaia Power expects to invest up to £200 million in each of its power plants
Each project will be structured to achieve limited recourse finance as part of the financing strategy.
The lead project in the Tees Valley remains on schedule with a 3 year build time to generate electricity by 2012.
Work has commenced to secure further sites. It is currently anticipated that these will be developed in the South East, the North West and the Midlands, to minimise fuel transportation and logistics’ costs.
