Carbon Footprint
a national and global scale the generation of power from biomass is a positive step in terms of combating climate change. The burning of biomass is classified by the EU as “carbon neutral” and as such reduces the impact on global climate change in comparison with the generation of electricity from fuels such as coal.
Compared with a coal fired plant, each Gaia Power plant is expected to save around 430,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum.
